The core function of double eccentric butterfly valve is to achieve efficient fluid control and sealing through its unique eccentric structure design. Its core functions include
1. Fluid control
By rotating the butterfly plate 90 °, the fluid can be opened, closed, and flow regulated, suitable for various fluids such as air, water, steam, corrosive media, etc. ??
2. sealing performance
The valve stem only rotates, and the packing is not easily damaged. With the streamlined butterfly plate design, it can effectively cut off or regulate the flow of medium in the pipeline. ??
3. structural characteristics
Eccentric design: The axis of the valve stem deviates from the center of the butterfly plate, dispersing the rotation axis of the upper and lower ends of the butterfly plate, reducing the compression wear between the butterfly plate and the valve seat. ??
Comparison of concentrci butterfly valves: good flow but slow opening and closing speed, while eccentric butterfly valves have greater resistance but more reliable sealing. ??

UV double Eccentric Butterfly valves with double offset design occurs from the centerline of the disc rotation being horizontally and vertically offset from the stainless steel body seat. Unlike traditional concentric AWWA butterfly valves, the double eccentric design offers a “non-rubbing”resilient seat that releases compression after only a few degrees of opening, which results in a longer lifespan and provides low operating torques. Each valve is equipped with a dual shaft design giving it inherently high flow characterizes over a one piece shaft. This results in considerable savings to the owner by lowering pumping and energy costs over the lifespan of the valve.Importantly, if the resilient seat ever needed adjustment or replacement, it can be achievedwith common tools in the field compared to epoxy filled seats that require special equipment orvulcanized/bonded seats that cannot be field adjusted or replaced.
